Overview
In Star Wars Zero Company, players will step into the shoes of Hawks, a former Republic officer, to command an elite squad of cunning operatives through a gritty and authentic story set in the twilight of the Clone Wars. As an unconventional outfit of professionals for hire hailing from across the galaxy, Zero Company must set aside their differences to overcome nearly impossible odds and take on an emerging threat that will consume the galaxy if left unchecked. In Star Wars Zero Company, players will embark on a campaign of tactical operations and investigations across the galaxy. Between missions, they will develop a base of operations and gather intelligence through a network of informants to stay one step ahead of Zero Company’s adversaries. Players will have the freedom to create and customize their own squad of recruited operators while getting to know a cast of newly authored Star Wars characters. Hawks’ appearance and combat class can be fully customized, while recruited operatives can be personalized from a range of original Star Wars character classes and species. Tailor squadmates’ appearances, load-outs, and abilities across a wide variety of character archetypes, including Clone Troopers, astromechs and even a Jedi. While in the field, members of Zero Company will forge bonds between them to unlock powerful combat synergies that can turn the tide of battle. With near-endless possibilities and high-stakes encounters that could change the fate of the galaxy, players will need intense preparation, adept strategy, and the right squad to succeed.

I'm sorry can we PLEASE talk about Tifa Lockheart. Tifa Lockheart, who hung up rodeo posters in her bedroom and dressed like a cowgirl and took piano lessons and thought she could take on the world. Tifa Lockheart, who had everything taken from her and no one to share in that grief with. Tifa Lockheart, who had to learn to live for herself. Tifa Lockheart, who, despite all she's lost, despite the fact that she has more of a personal grudge against the main villain than even the protagonist, just wants to be kind. Tifa Lockheart, who can punch with the force of a ballistic missile. Tifa Lockheart, who is scared of ghosts but reached into a maelstrom of them to try and save a girl she met just yesterday. Tifa Lockheart, who's so sick of people falling out of her grasp that she backtracked through multiple floors of a skyscraper on the off chance that she needed to be there to catch someone. Tifa Lockheart, who's jaded and tired and full of remorse and raids abandoned beach bars and mixes herself little frou-frou cocktails and doesn't know what she's doing with her life. Tifa Lockheart, who got betrayed and stabbed and pushed into danger and saw the afterlife with her own eyes and the first thing she did upon waking up was look into the eyes of the friend who did all that to her and said "I'm going to save you." Tifa Lockheart, the woman that you are.

one of the things about zack is that he was most likely a soldier from teh age of 14, like cloud was, so he literally doesnt know anythin other than the violence he was taught bcause hes a child soldier, so of course the easiest and simplest solution is to just kill anyone in his way, thats what shinra taught him
i'd argue it started even younger than that, with rebirth showing off his "secret gym" where he practiced with wooden swords and whatnot
maybe he was just interested in learning to protect his home! but let's be real here. that reactor was right next door and shinra was definitely plastering propaganda all over gongaga. gotta start em young!

"And this is what I wonder about: What else helps us decide whether we want to spend hours with a specific book? What happens when that jacket copy says one thing and the experience of the book is something else entirely? Which books have gone unrecognized because the copy didn’t speak to the people it needed to speak to? How is it that sometimes, against the odds of all the books published in a given year, a book still finds its way to the hands of thousands of just the right readers?  "I don’t even know if I can answer these questions for myself: What do I want to know before I read a book? I want to know what in that book is going to speak to me. I want to know if it has SFF elements; I want to know if there are fairy tales in its genes; I want to know if there are women with swords, if aging isn’t viewed as a curse, if the sentences are going to draw me in or kick me out again. I want to know when 'dark academia' is actually going to mean 'school is a very real part of this story' and I want to know when I’m going to fall in love with every single member of an ensemble cast. I want to know if the goddamn dog is going to die, so I can not read that book. I want to know what happens at first, but not what happens in the end. I want to know if there is something in a book I’m going to absolutely love and I want to hope that there is something in a book that is absolutely going to knock me over and make me stare into space for ten minutes. "Cover copy can only do so much."

@bladekindeyewear asked: Quote asker: "Feferi is the one who set up the dreambubbles" -- Mild correction there, what she said was, "CC: Soon I will go to sleep and speak to t)(e gods. CC: I will convince t)(em to establis)( a series of stable dream bubbles, w)(ere we can meet in our sleep!" Emphasis on "stable" and "meet" - the dead might end up in the dream bubbles regardless for all we know, from what Aradia said, but their respective bubbles likely wouldn't have INTERSECTED as frequently without Feferi's request.
I think the key word here is stable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We've occasionally seen more fluid, abstract dreamscapes, such as WV's shared dream with Vriska, or Jade's chaotic post-death nap. These, I think, are the Dream Bubbles as they naturally occur, without the Horrorterrors keeping them coherent. They're unstable, liable to mutate or collapse without warning.
The Bubbles might always have existed - but, thanks to Feferi, they're solid now, and can be used as a medium for consistent communication.

been thinking about IM3 a lot lately, and I know I’ve beat this into the ground over the years, but like… did Extremis just fall off the face of the planet in MCU or what
I can’t remember if this is fanon or if it was confirmed somewhere but I read that Tony used it to heal his chest from the arc reactor once he had it removed, so (if that’s canon) he has access to the technology
So like… why didn’t he use it for Rhodey after he got injured in civil war? are there limitations to what Extremis can heal, and it wouldn’t have helped him? did Tony offer it, and rhodey refused?
or did marvel just forget about it?

So, just like my previous post on the First Stoat's names let's look into the new information we found out in the latest episode (Burrow's End episode 8 spoilers under the cut)
So let's get the most important thing out of the way first, cause there's a lot to go through here: Obviously, Phoebe also means light - the name originates from the Ancient Greek word φοῖβος (phoibos) for "pure", "bright", "radiant" etc.
The word itself was used as an epithet for the sibling deities Apollo (god of, among other things, sun and prophecy) and Artemis (goddess of, among other things, the moon, wild animals, and the hunt). They inherit this name from their grandmother, the Titaness Phoebe who is associated by proxy with the moon and prophecy, but not actually a deity of anything. For her, it seems to be mostly a name, while it is used more akin to a title for her grandchildren.
In honour of Phoebe the Titan, one of the moons of Saturn has been named after her. It is called an irregular satellite, meaning it follows an eccentric, distant orbit which also happens to be retrograde (aka it moves opposite to the rotation of the body it orbits). With a diameter of 213km Phoebe is the most massive of Saturn's irregular satellites, and the second largest retrograde satellite in the Solar System (after Neptune's moon Triton).
There is a Phoebe mentioned in the Bible (New Testament, Paul's Epistle to the Romans). She is described as a deacon (apparently the only woman named as a deacon in the Bible) and Paul speaks highly of her - from skimming the Wikipedia article on the biblical Phoebe this part seems to be some kind of letter of recommendation. It is unclear, what community Paul intends to recommend her to, but some scholars seem to believe that she was, in fact, the emissary who delivered Paul's epistle to Rome in the first place.
(Incidentally, the aforementioned Wikipedia article mentions that the Catholic Church puts her feast day on September 3rd which is my birthday, and my chosen name is Paul, which has nothing to do with this meta, but I just found it funny.)
Anyways. There is also a species of bird called Phoebe in the tyrant flycatcher family (aka Tyrannidae); they live on insects and originally got their scientific name from being loudly territorial and aggressive. And since we, apparently, don't have enough things called Phoebe yet, there's also a genus of evergreen laurels called Phoebe.
To me, this paints a vivid picture: A Titan specifically known for being the progenitor of the Sun and Moon deities, somebody associated with prophecy ("She'll come back" comes to mind as a pertinent prophecy we have on her right now). Phoebe is, of course, the only female First Stoat we have encountered so far. I have a few unformed thoughts on the whole 'emissary' bit (which is, arguably, the piece of information with the least solid grounds presented here; but still, why is Phoebe gone from Last Bast in the first place? Is she an emissary sent by the First Stoats to somewhere else/the humans? How did the First Stoats conquer Warren Peace originally - they didn't just do that on their own, maybe they are the 'emissaries' sent there to actively sabotage the plant?).
The one thing I am certain of, is that First Stoat Phoebe is going to be just as territorial and aggressive as her Tyrannidae namesakes, if not more so.
